fantastic sams - bundle up
Problem: In an effort to combat the rise of online beauty sales and capture a larger share of in-salon purchases, Fantastic Sams sought to increase sales in the styling aids category through a network-wide bundling promotion of their private label line.
People: Typically between the ages of 25 and 40, the Fantastic Sams client wants quality service and products that won’t break the bank. This promotion leverages the perceived value in bundle deals to encourage guests to add a styling product to their wash & care purchase, or try an entirely new FS styling regimen.
Plan: Beginning two weeks prior to and continuing through the in-salon promotional period, select private label products were available for an increased discount at the distributor level. Equipped with communication and education tools, the FS field team tracked their progress and reported back weekly as they encouraged their franchisees to take advantage of the savings and extend the promotion to their guests using provided print and digital promotion pieces.
